About the Artist

Connie is a contemporary artist with career roots in graphic design. After attending art school in Cincinnati, she moved and worked in West Michigan as a graphic artist/designer for 35 years creating a variety of materials for various agencies and corporations. Though her interest in art started in childhood, it wasn't until 1986 that she started exploring watercolor after an artist workshop in Acapulco, Mexico and began creating illustrations and home portraits for real estate agents and private individuals. Eventually she added acrylic, oil and pastel in a more representational form in paintings and still life. Mostly generating art from her own photo reference, some digital painting is also included in her collection. 

Now residing in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Connie is currently a member of the Allegan Arts Council, The Great Lakes Pastel Society, the Saugatuck-Douglas Art Club, South Haven Center for the Arts and is a Pickle Street School Studio Artist.
